Mozart called the pipe organ “the King of Instruments”. Advances in computer technology and Hauptwerk software now allow musicians to play digital facsimiles of world-class instruments from the comfort of their homes. High-resolution recordings of every sound are stored in computer memory ready for immediate reproduction. No more unheated cathedrals or stroppy vergers to contend with.
Our experience as musicians can very much depend on the quality of the instrument, its touch, sound quality and yes, looks. At Forest Organs, we try to tick all three boxes while providing unmatchable customer care and best possible value.
In these financially restrictive times I aim to keep costs down as much as possible. Sometimes used represents better value than new and a great deal of care is put into sourcing high-quality parts which are painstakingly renovated. For pedalboards the time investment is often worthwhile, but keyboards can wear out. Sadly, they usually come in pairs, whereas clients more often want three or more matching keyboards.
Over the coming months I will be developing a range of designs that cater for every budget, from premium oak beauties to portable barebones rigs. The price you see will usually get you an instrument that is set up, ready to play, though buyers may already own their own computer or audio gear. If you have particular requirements, please get in touch.
